connection

connection no. 1
Lately I've been thinking about my relationship with my daughter and the changes that are just around the corner. I think this has been brought on by the letters of interest she's been receiving from universities. So far this week it's been Columbia/Barnard, Cornell, and Jacksonville University. She's on crew and it's safe to say she's awesome at it. She's spending next summer in France. She's growing up. I have never been more proud or more happy or more sad.

  2. I think your new series is marvelous and I relate... I know all the feelings you speak of... what a roller-coaster! Having my oldest daughter currently abroad is really effecting me emotionally and physically in ways I had not anticipated. This is a whole new chapter in mothering and the ties that bind us. Just like all the chapters before it, I am reading this one in the dark, groping my way through unknown territory and trying to find balance.

  4. I am a mother of one (a daughter) so I can relate. I think one of the most special things about being the parent of one is that you NEVER take it for granted. You are doing this once and will take in all that you can, while you can. It is pretty special. Roots and wings.......
